Meet Our Team

At PASS, our team is a tight-knit and passionate group of professionals dedicated to transforming the lives of children in the Phoenix, Arizona, area. With a profound belief in the power of tennis and education, we have come together to positively impact young minds' lives. Our team consists of experienced tennis coaches and enthusiastic volunteers, all united by a common goal - to empower and uplift kids through the power of sport and learning.

Joel Piaskowski​

Community Services Director

Joel is a retired Technology-sector Sales and Marketing Executive. His skills include strategic selling and obtaining sponsorships. He has served in a Board position at the Sun City West and Corte Bella Tennis Clubs the past 15 years. Joel saw an opportunity to build community and reached out to PASS. He and Tony both share the same passion for how intergenerational interactions can impact youth and the benefits it brings. Joel is excited to help PASS build a legacy for future generations. He and his wife, Jolene love to travel, volunteer and play tennis.

Kyle Lametti

Program Director

Kyle Lametti is a results-oriented Program Director with an impressive background in construction management, business, and education from The University Of Minnesota. His professional experience includes twelve years project management for a multi-million dollar construction company, co-founding Eatiply which donated 750,000 meals to people in need, starting and running multiple Verizon stores across three states, and developing real estate. Moreover, Lametti has been an avid tennis player for 35 years, participating in several Phoenix leagues, and holds a USTA Level 1 Coaching Certificate. His love for the game and helping kids has aligned synergistically with PASS. When he's not busy working, he enjoys spending time playing golf or tennis, training at the gym, or socializing with friends.

Katie Salgado

Sr. Director of Education

Katie Salgado is a PhD student and staff member at Arizona State. A former Fulbright scholar, she now assists undergraduate students as they apply to competitive national fellowships and scholarships. Outside of school and work, she can be found on the tennis court. Katie is a USPTA certified tennis coach with experience as an assistant coach in the US and abroad. She has played competitive tennis for over 15 years and enjoys coaching tennis to students of all ages and abilities. Her dream is to one day attend all four grand slams: Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.

Kristin Huber

Sr. Education Advisor

A Wisconsin graduate, Kristin had a successful career as an Account Executive for Procter & Gamble. She then pursued her Master’s in Education from Minnesota. She taught computer and business classes for 10 years at a Title 1 high school. Kristin thrives on giving students equitable opportunity to achieve social and economic mobility through higher education. She plays on two tennis teams and enjoys spending time with family and consuming books, podcasts, and movies.

Jonathan Senin

PASS Coach

Jonathan Senin has been an avid tennis fan since grade 6, playing at different clubs across the greater Los Angeles area. After high school, he took a 12 year break from the sport and it took the pandemic to spur him back on court. Since then, he's been completely addicted and plays at least 6 hours a week. He loves tennis' demand for a strong positive attitude, putting in the physical/emotional work and for how its massive fun! He currently plays at the Phoenix Tennis Center and absolutely loves seeing the PASS kids grow every week.

Noah Axelrod

PASS Coach

Noah started playing tennis in high school and joined the Varsity team in sophomore year, leading him to qualify for state in men's doubles his senior year. He is a graduate of Clemson University where he played on the USTA Tennis on Campus team all four years. After graduation, he has continued to play in leagues and tournaments in Phoenix at the 5.0 and Open level, as well as participated in the national championship tournaments for doubles and singles.

Sujan Parab

PASS Coach

Sujan, an international student from India, is a Junior at ASU majoring in Kinesiology and a player in the ASU Club Tennis team. He has been playing tennis for 15 years now and has won many national and state tournaments. He has played in and coached many players on the ITF circuit. Sujan is also an active member in the ITF organizing committee for India. He is very passionate about teaching young aspiring kids the true essence of tennis and is very honored to be a part of PASS.

Christina Chai

Pass Coach

Christina Chai is originally from Seattle, Washington and moved to Arizona for her job after graduating from Harvey Mudd College in California. She now works as an aerospace engineer at Honeywell Aerospace, working on system design for plane engines. She has played competitively for over 10 years now and continues to play on several adult leagues in the valley. Tennis has been a key reason she has made so many new friends here quickly and she loves getting to share her passion for the sport and everything it has taught her to the PASS kids.

Ester Liberman

PASS Coach

Having taught music to underserved kids during her undergraduate years at UCLA, Ester was looking for a similar way to give back to the Phoenix community, and was very happy to discover PASS. She enjoys seeing the kids grow as people and tennis players, and watching them build confidence in both the game and in themselves. As a 3rd-year medical student, Ester hopes to be able to use the leadership and teaching skills she learns through PASS in her future career as a physician.

Jose Moreno

Head Tennis Coach

Jose and his twin brother taught themselves tennis because their mom wanted them “out of the house.” They became all sport players and a couple of the best tennis players in Yuma. They were offered tennis scholarships at Paradise Valley C.C. This path led to a twenty year job in the airline industry while teaching tennis, his passion, at a few resorts. Today, he is the Head Mens and Womens Coach at Glendale Community College as well as taking a leadership role in PASS tennis teaching.

Pam Ponwith

Director

Pam is a former collegiate player, teaching professional, youth team coach, community player and all-around tennis expert. She founded All About Tennis in 1993. It is one of the premier retail racquet shops in the valley.

She has played a tremendous part in the tennis community through incredible support. Her philanthropy sponsoring hundreds of tournaments and events has earned her the USTA President's Award several times. Whether it be running kids day at ASU, participating on one of her seven league teams or giving a deserving students some shoes or racket, Pam does everything with a passion that only love provides.

Joe Ragland

Director

Joe is the Director of the Phoenix Tennis Center. His passion is hosting a nonprofit program like PASS at PTC because he was introduced to tennis by a National Junior Tennis League (NJTL) program founded by Arthur Ashe in Washington DC. His journey led to a #1 sectional ranking, scholarships to Hampton and Southern University which culminated to stint on the tour where he earned invitations to the U.S. Open and Wimbledon. He has substantial pro shop management and administration experience and has guided several elite players to scholarships as a coach and teaching professional.

Tony Reyes

Executive Director

Tony's experience includes being Director of Tennis at McDowell Mountain Ranch for 18 years and a team member on the nationally recognized Boulders Resort Tennis Staff. He is a recipient of the prestigious United States Professional Tennis Association Star Award for his work with PASS. Past experience includes being a restaurant manager trainer, Walmart manager and 17 years of ministry non-profit service. Tony created PASS to authentically change kids' lives by equipping them with life and leadership skills that will prepare them to continue our legacy in their own community.

Rene Matusiak

Development Director

Rene is a graduate from the Masters of Sports Law and Business program at the Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Conner College of Law. In his role as Development Director, he is tasked with creating and growing strategic relationships between PASS and its donors. Additionally, Rene develops and executes all fundraising plans. He has already established multiple community partnerships, while also managing PASS social media platforms. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, watching movies and spending time with family.

Jeff is the Chairman of Nexus 21, a leader in stealth entertainment technology in motion. He has created many successful start-up business ventures. His skills include vision setting and developing team-orientated people. Jeff volunteered numerous hours on court with the PASS kids. He observed firsthand how our program transforms students lives. Jeff's passion is to offer the PASS experience to as many kids as possible. He and his wife Gloria love to travel, play golf, and tennis.
